First Time Users (One Time Registration is Required)
Meet RACER, the new automated Interlibrary Loan and Intercampus Delivery management system being implemented across Ontario University Libraries. Gone are the days of filling out paper forms. Now placing requests is as simple as filling out a one time registration form and using RACER to simultaneously search the catalogues of Ontario universities, Ontario public libraries, national libraries and document suppliers. Once you find an item you’d like to borrow use RACER to send your request directly to one of the University of Toronto Intercampus Delivery/Interlibrary Loan departments. You will receive an email telling you when your item is available for pickup.
To start using RACER simply follow these easy instructions:
- Visit the online registration form to update your user account record in RACER
- Go to the RACER web site - you may want to book mark it for future use
- Login
- Start searching the various catalogues offered or click on 'create request' to place a request
To register:
- Connect to register.
- Complete the End User registration form (one-time only) and click submit
You will receive a confirmation email. Now you are ready to begin using RACER.
Logging on for the first time:
- Go to RACER
- Click LOGIN
- Enter your login ID (library barcode) and password (PIN - normally last 4 digits of student/personnel id)

- Choose Toronto as your Library location from the drop-down list
- Click 'submit'
You may now search the catalogues, or click 'create request' to get a blank request form.
